The first design in the collection, the idea that inspired the entire project is “bring the sea to the city.”

It’s July. Outside, it’s 30 degrees; inside it’s 40 blame the kiln. Ascanio dreams of the sea, but it’s far away. So he decides to fire up something new. Something that lets him wear the sea.

During a trip to Instanbul, Ascanio steps into a bazaar and is captivated by stands of beads stacked like jellyfish tentacles. They instantly remind him of the ones of his father taught him to craft — and in that moment, he knows: a new pendant is born.
